Welcome to Spotlight for Success with American Book Company. I'm your host, Derek Pentozi, and we're here at the NCASA conference in Wilmington, North Carolina. Here we are with our special guest, Renee and Connie. Renee is the account executive executive for Booknook, and Connie is a senior marketing manager for Booknook. So it's so great to have you guys here today. Thank you so much for having us. So what brings you guys here?

SPEAKER_02

Well, we're we're here like everybody else. We're vendors and we're excited to be talking to school district leaders to help them with um high impact tutoring.

What BookNook Actually Does

SPEAKER_00

Okay. And can you tell us a little bit more about Booknook?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, of course. So Booknook is a high impact tutoring company. Um, it's virtual. We do K through eighth. Um we primarily focus on tier two, tier three kids, and then your bubble kids. Um we also have added some ELL support so we can also help those students that are needing a little bit more support. We are able to accommodate during before school, during school with maybe in your intervention block, and then also after school as well.

Marketing And District Partnership Roles

SPEAKER_00

Great. Thank you. Tell us a little bit more about your positions.

SPEAKER_02

Well, um I am senior marketing manager at Booknook, and so I of course handle all aspects of um our marketing.

SPEAKER_01

And then as an account executive, um you'll see me at conferences, and then I'm also, you know, sometimes just meeting with people. So whether that's to take you to lunch and get to talk a little bit more about your district, or you know, you get to learn a little bit more about Booknook, um, I'm just kind of that relationship builder before we get, you know, the whole deal closed. So Brene, you have never taken me to lunch before. I know. I know. I'm you know, call me out.

Real Impact For Students And Teachers

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, we'll have to get we'll have to get we'll have to get on that.

SPEAKER_00

And what's the what's your favorite part of what what you guys do?

SPEAKER_02

You know, helping kids, honestly. Um giving students um the opportunity to have that small group instruction, um, giving teachers their time back and um you know kind of taking a little bit of the load off of them. We we bring in um virtual tutors virtually, and so we just can bring in that scalability, just bring in a fleet of online tutors to come in, work with students, and then just pull them back out, you know, and that that leaves teachers that time where they're not just sitting at the kidney table over and over and over again. It's you know, it gives um school leaders and district leaders the opportunity so that they're not having to coordinate schedules, pull students out of core instruction all the time. Um we can support, you know, so in so many ways on scalability of um small group instruction.

SPEAKER_00

Great. What about you?

Where To Find BookNook Online

SPEAKER_01

I would say it's the real life impact we're making. Um I go into schools often and I'm able to kind of see like what our customers are doing, and I'm able to see kind of those relationships that the students have made with their tutors, and they're actually like, oh my god, Booknook is like my favorite time of the day, and it's like it's so fun to actually see that relationship in real time. And then it's also just being able to see the progress as well because we're able to go over that data monitoring with them, and we're able to see like, hey, like what what's happening, and you're actually able to see that real growth. So, yeah, that's really amazing.

SPEAKER_00

And when can where can we find your products?

SPEAKER_02

Um, you can always go to booknook.com. Booknook.com. Yeah, absolutely. Booknook.com um is our website. You can um find us on you know all of the social media channels as well. And um, or you can reach out directly to Renee. Great, okay or yeah, she's um she's the rep here at um in North Carolina, and that's why we're here at NCASA.

SPEAKER_00

Great. And um, do you have any last words for the NCASA community, both of y'all?

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_02
