Welcome From The Conference Floor
SPEAKER_00Welcome to Spotlight for Success with American Book Company. Here we are at the NCASA conference in North Carolina. I'm your host, Derek Kantozi, and we have a special guest today. Her name is Taylor Simmons, and she is a director of creative design at an Achievable Achievable Dream Urban Learning Leadership Center. So we're so happy to have you here today.
SPEAKER_01Thank you so much for having me. I'm happy to be here.
What AADULLC Does For Schools
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, absolutely. And what brings you guys to this conference today?
SPEAKER_01So we are here basically promoting all of the great things that we are doing at an Achievable Dream Urban Learning Leadership Center, AADULLC. We are a consulting agency and we create customizable K-12 learning solutions, diagnostic assessments, school improvement strategies, and we really tailor our needs to meet the school's uh requests. So whatever it is that the school, particular school district is uh in need of, we have you know several areas of expertise, uh assessment design, uh, STEM, mentorship, leadership development. So we can come in and do a diagnostic assessment and say, okay, these are the areas that you want to improve on, here's how we can support you. And all of our work is based in our same framework, social, academic, and mindset education.
Results And District Partnerships
SPEAKER_00Great, that that's that's amazing. That's great work you're doing. Is there a specific um school or district that you've hooked out that had a powerful story?
SPEAKER_01So we've done a lot of work up in Illinois. So we've had some great results in Avington Avon and their school district. We've done a lot of work in Dalton. So we are we're really proud of the work that we've been doing across the country, but we've done so much work in Illinois.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00That's great. And what is your favorite part about what you do?
SPEAKER_01The impact. Knowing that I'm going to work every day, and at the end of the day, a student's life is being changed, um, a district is being transformed, that's what it's all about. So that drives me.
Storytelling And Career Path
SPEAKER_00Yeah, absolutely. That's that's quite the drive right there. And um, how'd you get into your position?
SPEAKER_01So I have a background in communication. In my position at AADULLC, I am the director of creative design. So I am the storyteller for the organization. I create the messages that really speak to the impact and the community that we've created, not only in Virginia, but in the school districts that we work with across the country. So I think my background in communication and media has really helped get to where I am now. And I'm just so grateful for the opportunity to continue telling stories and uh creating messaging that speaks to who we are and who we're going to be, the future of AED ULLC.
Where To Learn More And Closing
SPEAKER_00Amazing. And where can we find out more about your um uh your product?
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. If you visit Aadul L C dot org, you can get in-depth information on who we are and how we can partner with you.
SPEAKER_00That's amazing. And do you have any last words for the um conference community?
SPEAKER_01I'm so grateful to be here with all of the uh speakers, all of the wonderful vendors. Uh, please check us out. We are at group number 20. Uh we're so just happy to be here connecting, and we wish all the best to all of the attendees.
